Vialex Law currently has one attorney and collaborates with legal assistants, consultants, and/or other professionals on a case-by-case basis to ensure that all clients have the support they specifically need. Vialex Law plans to expand its team and incorporate other attorneys and staff members who are qualified to properly serve our Latin American clients.
Maria Clara Moreno Quevedo
Attorney
Maria Clara founded Vialex Law in 2022 seeking to provide tailor-made support and solutions to her clients, mainly individuals and companies from Latin America, in different practice areas in the United States.
As a native Spanish speaker experienced in Colombian law and fluent in Portuguese and English, Maria Clara has a valuable skill set to assist Vialex Law’s international client base.
She became a Florida licensed attorney in 2019 and has worked in the legal field in Florida since 2018. Prior to moving to Florida, Maria Clara worked at a law firm in Medellin, Colombia, since 2010 as a legal assistant and since 2016 as a Colombian licensed attorney. She represented individuals, families, and companies in estate planning, probate, family and commercial disputes, and transactional matters.
Maria Clara graduated Cum Laude from the Juris Doctor and LL.M in International Law programs at the University of Miami in 2019. She also graduated second in her class with a Bachelor of Laws at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellin, Colombia, in 2016.
Raul Torrao
Attorney
Raul Torrao is a dually-licensed Florida and Brazilian attorney focusing his practice on civil litigation and contracts. As Portuguese native speaker and fluent in Spanish, Raul brings a unique skill set to assist Vialex Law’s Latin American clients in their international and U.S. domestic cases.
Prior to joining Vialex Law, Raul practiced law at a Florida-based international litigation law firm representing individuals, corporations and trustees primarily in asset recovery cases. Before that, he practiced law in São Paulo representing individuals and corporations in a broad range of commercial transactions and disputes.
Raul has published articles in the U.S., Brazil and international publications on different subjects, including actions to collect evidence for use in foreign proceedings under 28 U.S.C. § 1782. He also has been invited to speak in the course Doing Business in Latin America, at the University of Miami School of Law, and in the course International Litigation, at Florida International University. He graduated Cum Laude from the Juris Doctor and LL.M in International Law programs at the University of Miami in 2019. Raul also graduated top 1% in his class with a Bachelor of Laws at Damasio de Jesus School of Law in São Paulo, Brazil, in 2013.
